A Flare in the Sky

I had been breakin- I mean fletching a few arrows when I noticed that "A flare of light leaped into the sky from somewhere near the islands, and slowly faded."

It shook all of us at the Ranger Guild up a bit.

Shortly after a moonmage told me he had this vision earlier that day:

"A figure slipped out of the shadows. Burning eyes glow within the depths of a coarse black cowl. A hand reached out to grasp at him and he suddenly feared for his soul. He blinked and the image vanished, his surroundings reappeared."

I can’t help but wonder if this could be something to do with Velmix, although I heard there is a obelisk on Taisgath Island in Qi’ … or even more possible the two events do not connect.
