Critters Turn Tail and Run!

Tantalized by the rumors of platinum rings, alberdine rings, and various treasures, I visited the Fallow Fields outside of Shard. My was I surprised to find that the critters have turned into scaredy cats! Even of me!

Boggles, kobolds, and jackals (the current pests that inhabit the fields) are now approaching to melee and retreating as soon as they get a close look at you! Or, if you approach them, they hang back and some even flee the room.

It was as amusing as it was frustrating. Perhaps this is a subtle hint to work on ranged weapons there or magic in the fields. Or perhaps they all drank from the same tainted water supply!
