Wren’s Nest Tavern Opens Doors

(The Three Provinces: 81 Lirisa 351)

Heads turned and voices whispered the news as the newest Tavern in the Realms was opened in a special preview to the residents.

The Wren’s Nest, located on the Crossroads of everywhere, opened without great fanfare, and without benefit of furniture, too, I might add, as everyone was invited to preview the new establishment.

While we wait for the interior decorator to arrive, the new barkeep, Baresh, is making people comfortable on crates and boxes, and using sawhorses and boards for tables and even his bar!

The Wren’s Nest is a dream I had. Where people gather to hear what the news is, where they learn of what has happened in the past, and where nothing will be thrown away. The back room of the Tavern keeps all the parchments stacked neatly so you can quickly sort through them. Bards, scholars, historians, and entertainers are welcome to use the resources of the Wren’s Nest’s growing collections for research.

A people must be defined by where they have been, and who they are, and this cannot be known if they forget who has travelled before them. The heroes and deeds of the citizens cannot be forgotten as happened too many times in the recent and long-ago past.

Memories are not for dwelling on, they are for building the future. Please stop by every few days and remember something with me, remember something for everyone.
