Commentary: Do Not Let The L’Karm Succeed, Take A Stand
(Crossing, Zoluren: 268 Skullcleaver 355)
After studying the events of last week when Rianalee asked Trynie to deliver a crate as her promised favor, I was left with some nagging questions:
Was Rianalee always working for the L’Karm?
Why didn’t someone ask Rianalee what she meant when she said Wren had been on the wheel of life many times? Why does Rianalee know this, and who is Wren?
Who did that dark-eyed gentleman work for? Surely not an honorable paladin looking like he did, and using poison.
Why did the dark-eyed gentleman want the crate? How did he know what was in it?
Why would the L’Karm ambush their own shipment?
Why was not the Darkly Clad Elf or Rianalee the least bit concerned that the gentleman had knowledge of and ambushed the caravan? Instead, the comments of the Darkly Clad Elf seemed more focussed on laying guilt and blame down regarding the people who had gathered there.
I have watched and listened as my friends and citizens of the realms moved to take sides in this matter. I found the events as disturbing and alarming as anyone, but as people polarize on this issue, and argue with each other, it is my opinion that we have fallen into the very plot that the L’Karm wish us to.
What is done is done, and cannot be undone. Take a few steps back and study the facts. It appears to me that the L’Karm purposefully orchestrated this awful situation the other day to sow distrust and conflict within our own ranks.
It has been said, "a house divided against itself cannot stand." With every bickering word, with every accusation, with every finger of blame, we further the efforts of the L’Karm in the very hours they need us to be looking the other way.
We know that tension is mounting, we know that the L’Karm are moving, we know that they can kill us, and can provide a threat to our Provinces. Every moment we spend fighting against each other now, instead of sharing information and cooperating, they continue to gain power against us.
This is the darkest sort of terrorism, sowing the seeds of mistrust. I urge everyone to see the enemy’s actions for what they are. The real plot was not one to deliver goods to Shard, it was to demoralize, confuse, and shake us apart. Do not let them succeed. Take a stand now to unite against the enemy.
