Gang Tries to Rob Bank
(Crossing, Zoluren: 295 Skullcleaver)
As I paused in front the bank the other day to collect my thoughts. The sounds of screams and shouting drew my attention to the door. People starting coming out talking about someone trying to kill a little girl. Before I could even make heads or tails of the what was going on. The bank manager himself came out yelling that somebody was trying to rob the bank.
Now this really suprised me, how any gang thought they could actually get past the group of thugs already hanging out in front of the gate with their money was beyond me. But being the bard that I am I rushed in to see what I could do or see.
Well the normally busy bank was a madhouse. On one side of the room was a gang of the roughest sort holding a knife to a little girls throat. The bank manager and the guard was between a mass of townfolk with weapons drawn. The gang told them back or they would cut girls throat.
Well being a seasoned bard at this time I kind of chuckled. I could easily defuse this so I inhaled to start singing a song that would calm everything down and then I would go and just walk the girl out. Well got to my first verse when the guard turns around and pokes me hard in the stomach with the back of his spear. Well I was quite shocked at this since it would have solved the problem. But decided to discuss it in private after the current crises was over.
Well the gang seemed to run from the window to the exchange booth but it seems they spent a little to much time talking to us because the guards managed to create a moongate and take the money over to the estate bank.
Well at this time the money was safe most of the hostiges where released and it was a good hundred plus seasoned adventurers against the band. So knowing that all that could be done would be I left to finish my errands. I hear the little girl escaped but I still am confused why the guard didn’t just let me balm the group of them and end the crises. Lator that day after I explained it wasnt nice to hit people with the back of the spear I left him a little wiser at the empath guild.
