Powerful Artifact Found – Scholars Needed

I dunno, Baresh… I’ve been staring at that thing for days, now.. my eyes are really starting to hurt..

It really is an amazing thing.. I wish we could somehow get it down to the Crossing for closer study.. but a 15 foot obelisk is a bit hard to move.. expecially when it won’t let you touch it.

I don’t know what to make of it, honestly… I’ve never seen anything like it before.. the writings.. they’re.. well.. they’re old.. a mix of gamgweth, elothean, and.. well.. I’m not sure.. I can only read gamgweth and elothean.. Some of the gamgweth is really obscure, too.. Revelfae?

You’d almost think it was a history book.. some of Elanthia’s finest scholars are out looking at it.. references to danger, lunar events, orbits, the Fae, skymagic.. weather.. it even has a repersentation of the fourth moon on it.

And then it reads like a calendar.. references to times.. sunrise, dusk.. the old references, you know.. Asketi’s Hunt and whatnot… it seems to list every possible condition.. time of day and time of year..

I even noticed two pictures.. one of a cleric, praying, and another of a Moon Mage, preparing a spell.. some clerics tried using their bells to pray.. but the bells shattered..

I dunno. All I know for sure, is that the moon mage council is having a field day with this thing.. they already sent out a researcher, by the name of Taola, but he couldn’t tell us anything.. just speculated that it was a device of some sort.. he said he would be coming back with a stronger mage.. we’ll see what happens when he gets back.

You know what the really wierd thing is? This obelisk puts out enough magical power that even thieves can feel it. That, and the magic seems to rub off on some things.. platinum discs from adan’f, for example..
