Translations of the Obelisk

(Ker’Leor, Therengia: 108 Lirisa 356)

What follows is a list I have been able to assemble with a great deal of help from a few other individuals, namely, Candidus and Digmo, dealing with the obelisk in Ker’Leor. I make no assumptions as to the meaning of the messages, either individually or as a whole, but merely present the list in its entirety to those of you who wish to peruse it.

The phrase "Phelim guides the dreamer" The words "Phelim’s Vigil" The words "Dergati’s Bane" The phrase "Dergati’s banished at midday" The words "Meraud’s Cloak" The phrase "Meraud keeps watch o’er night" The words "Hodierna’s Blessing" A vague reference to Hodierna The words "Berengaria’s Touch" The phrase "Berengaria leads us to the light." The words "Firulf’s Flame" The phrase "Firulf warms the lands" The words "Peri’el’s Watch" The phrase "Peri’el guards the Dragon." The words "Asketi’s Hunt" The phrase "Asketi steals our restful slumber" A vague reference to Asketi The phrase "Faenella’s Children dance in shadow" The word "Revelfae" A vague reference to Fae The words "Tamsine’s Toil" The phrase "Tamsine keeps the hearthlight burning" The rune for the Adder The rune for the Unicorn The rune for the Cow A vague reference to ligntning A vague reference to wind A vague reference to clouds A vague reference to rain A vague reference to light A vague reference to moonlight A vague reference to the full moon A vague reference to the new moon A vague reference to the crescent moon A vague reference to the quarter moon A vague reference to the waning moon A vague reference to a waxing moon A vague reference to lunar opposition A vague reference to lunar enchantment A course picture of the lunar orbits A vague reference to the pearly moon Grazhir A vague reference to the red moon Yavash A vague reference to the golden moon Katamba A vague reference to the blue moon Xibar A vague reference to the Summer Solstice A vague reference to the Winter Solstice A vague reference to Spring Equinox A vague reference to Fall Equinox A vague reference to sunset A vague reference to sunrise The word "TAISGATH" The word "ANLAS" The word "ROISAN" The formula "30 ROISAEN = 1 ANLAS" The formula "12 ANLAEN = 1 ANDU" The phrase "Starwatch reveals the hidden sight" The word "Starwatch" The word "ANDUWEN" The phrase "Anduwen comes in deepest dark" A vague reference to an ancient timekeeping system A vague reference to unfamiliar constellations A vague warning of danger A picture of a cleric praying A picture of a Moon Mage with arms upraised

After rechecking the list against any new discoveries and finding out that there had been none, I concluded that that is as much as we’re able to read on it yet. There may be omissions, and if you find any, please let me know.

Again, I stress that making any assumptions to the meaning of the words found on the obelisk is highly premature, and that patience is our best course for now.
