A Talk with a Guildleader

(311 Skullcleaver 374)

Last night in Ilithi proved to be interesting as a delegation of commanders met with Lady Eluresturi. I was fortunate enough to be included in the party and so to observe.

In any case, after we all had gathered we went to Steel Claw Clan to meet with Guildmistress T’kiel and Yutwain concerning the war. Early on, we heard some banter over the gweth from Raellia- which none of us were happy about. But while I was awake nothing further came of it.
Apparently, Lady Eluresturi and Guildmistress T’kiel were old friends as they traded a few jests about magic being brought into the guildhall. Among the questions posed were of a possibility of the Clan letting its warriors join the city.

T’kiel told us that the Clan would come first, and that she didn’t think such an alliance was necessary- for the Clan at least. But she did say that she had weapons stockpiled that she ‘might’ commision out, and that the might Granzer ‘might’ even be permitted to help us repair a number of old siege engines about the province. She did assure us that if we needed refuge during the war few would be turned away from the Clan. All in all, she was very careful not to promise anything she wasn’t sure could be lived up to.

During this meeting, Yutwain was just a bit jumpy and indeed had drawn his throwing knives several times. He would dearly love to plant them in Raellia, and nearly did so in a few of our more magically-inclined people when spells started wearing off.

When we left the clan, there was only one thing that we could really be sure of: That Raellia, Grishnok, and our other villainly friends would find no welcome there.
