Zoluren High Council Meeting Notes

(Crossing, Zoluren: 1 Akroeg 409)

Let it be known, the Zoluren High Council, comprised of the Princess of Zoluren and the leaders of the Zoluren Houses, held a meeting on the first day of the year 409, in the year of the Amber Phoenix. Due to ever present security concerns, the meeting was held in the Study of Ulf’Hara Keep.

One of the more pressing issues brought forward for consideration were matters surrounding the Hollow Eve festival of 406. Captain Kurmin, has submitted a claim for some property damage repairs caused by a member of the Council gaining access to the inner workings of the great mechanical Spider. In addition to damages to the air ducts, the Council member managed to fall through in several places, breaking a ceiling. The Court made restitution and the House involved has been charged to reimburse the coffers.

The following petitions and motions of business were given resolution granted by royal assent:

The retirement of Chairman Tanglefoot: The Princess heard discussion from all attending Houses. Retirement and a nominal pension for his years of service were granted to Chairman Woolly Tanglefoot. The annual pension will be donated on his behalf to the Zoluren Orphanage.

The nomination of Myerin Chelochi for Chairman of the Zoluren High Council: Business then turned to the nomination of a new Chairman; Myerin Chelochi has been advanced as Chairman.

The resignation of Mayor Keresyk si’Allvar: Mayor Keresyk acknowledged that due to family obligations he has spent the majority of his time away from Leth Deriel. He has petitioned the Court to release him from obligations so he can devote himself to his family businesses on M’Riss. The Council regrets the loss of the good Mayor.

The nomination of Arandus Linlaig for Mayor of Leth Deriel: House Linlaig submitted for consideration the motion to appoint Lord Arandus Linlaig as Mayor of Leth Deriel. With no objections, Arandus will become Mayor of Leth Deriel on a date to be agreed upon.

The ennoblement of Zukir Dyth: Nomination submitted by House Sorvendig for distinguished years of service. House Dyth shall enjoy all the rights, privileges, precedencies and advantages to the degree of title of Lord belonging to Lords and Ladies of Zoluren that at present use and enjoy. This shall extend to any heirs until no descendants remain of House Dyth.

The Retirement of Zukir Dyth: Lord Dyth was granted leave to retire, as is his request. Upon his retirement, Lord Dyth is to be given a parcel of land in Chelsea Overlook for an appropriate and private home. Additionally, let it be known that Lord Dyth has determined that upon retirement he will wed the Merelew Cdaisa, (Sdai’s mother) and retire to Andreshlew.

The ennoblement of Maghana Gurvyre: Nomination submitted by both House Chelochi and House Tumar for distinguished service. Let it be known, that House Gurvyre shall enjoy all the rights, privileges, precedencies and advantages to the degree of title of Lady belonging to Lords and Ladies of Zoluren that at present use and enjoy. This shall extend to any heirs until no descendants remain of House Gurvyre.

In addition, Lady Maghana currently holds the title of Seneschal of Zoluren and shall retain her position as Voice for House Sorvendig, speaking and ruling on those matters of business that do not require the Sovereign in person.

Matters then turned to the following with outcome still pending:

The Council requested an investigation into the Ministry of Exploration following some activity on Denesal lands. The investigation has proved inconclusive and Lord Liev Denesal has been tasked to continue on the investigation.

Princess Arilana and Lord Dyth will return to Andreshlew in the coming days. The discussion on when the family will return has been left open but summer was mentioned.

Discussion of the security detail and the replacement for Lord Dyth was left in the capable hands of Lord Verille.

The meeting then moved to various additional petitions and allocations before adjourning.
